Harry Huger Houston III, born in Knoxville, TN, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Arlington in 1967. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Houston graduated from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda CA in 1971. While in dental school, he traveled to Guatemala on a medical/dental missionary trip where he performed exodontia for the rural population. Dr. Houston is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Houston was the inventor of Control-Emerge Medical Emergency Kit.
Dr. Houston has spent several years and many hours studying exodontia, endodontics (including multiple courses in rotary endodontics), and forensic dentistry. He was Vice-President of Dental Services at Family Health Foundation of Alviso and is a graduate of the ORGRAM School of Exodontia. He also has experience in geriatric, pediatric dentistry, has worked with California Indian Health, and DHMS which serves the armed forces.
Dr. Houston is a graduate of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology course in Forensic Dental Identification and has taken multiple courses in investigation by identification, and hundreds of hours in many other forensic courses. He is an associate member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, a member of the American Society of Forensic Odontology, and has lectured at the University of Southern Mississippi School of Forensic Sciences.
His interests outside of dentistry include music (guitar), Genealogy, biking, and spending time with his wife, three children, three grandchildren, and his extended family.
